Digital Marketing Manager

Our client, a nonprofit engineering organization, is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager with proven content marketing campaign experience to join their team as a full time employee.

**Please note that this role is currently fully remote but you may need to commute to the client's office in NYC in the future for meetings, events, etc. A laptop will be provided to you!**

The Digital Marketing Manager will:

- Play a pivotal role in building a reputation for the brand's membership content
- Create and execute a new membership content strategy that drives traffic, prospect generation, member acquisition, benefits engagement, and member retention goals
- Audit existing open and member-exclusive content for brand voice, relevance, and optimization
- Write primarily short form copy for campaigns, as needed, as well as manage content pieces from in-house team and freelancers to help with digital storytelling
- Build member-exclusive content benefits
- Work with the Digital and Marketing Operations team to create seamless digital journeys and online experiences that engage members with audience-focused content in unique and compelling packages
- Use personas and marketing segmentation to identify and satisfy target audiences information needs across various content formats
- Analyze marketing campaign performance, specifically the customer journey, where people are landing within the sales funnel and developing campaigns to entice these individuals to convert
- Liaise with the membership team to generate ideas, discuss weekly membership acquisition
- Organize, assign, and project manage advertorials, special editions, special sections, SEO content pieces and cover-story content through production, as well as write and or assign special sections and cover stories
- Work with the Editor in Chief of Mechanical Engineering magazine and within the editorial team to help conceive, edit, develop, and produce new content for the magazine that fits cohesively with the member content strategy

The Digital Marketing Manager must:

- Have a Bachelors degree, or additional equivalent experience
- Have at least 5 years experience in content marketing or content management
- Previous experience in a role where you built marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and grew a customer base / community is ideal
- Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics and Marketo
- Have previous SEO optimization experience
- Have excellent writing skills
- Be a multifaceted content developer with a keen eye toward strategic and unique content opportunities
- Be able to conceive and execute creative approaches to marketing campaigns to keep members interested
- Have excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills as well as experience working in cross-functional teams
- Have experience managing digital workflows for media sites and content management systems
- Have a detailed approach to work and the ability to work independently and remain organized in order to meet commitments and balance competing priorities
- Be able to identify key issues, gather data to investigate those issues, and develop actionable recommendations
