Our social media giant client seeks a Internal Communications Specialist to join their team in this 6 month freelance role!

This role will be 100% remote, but you must be based in the following approved location(s):
Bay Area, CA
Baltimore, MD
Boston, MA
Houston, TX
Los Angeles, CA
San Diego, CA

The Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Support and develop all source-to-pay communications for a global team of approximately 290 resources.
- Create, deliver, and maintain all existing communications including a monthly newsletter and central internal portal housing all needed information and resources for the team. In addition, develop new communication vehicles as needed for the team.
- Review, recommend and implement enhancements to existing communication strategies by understanding the unique needs of the various teams
- Streamline the various channels the organization uses to communicate within the organization, with the objective of improving how employees experience receiving and giving information
- newsletter content gathering, layout, writing, editing and production. Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand communication gaps across the organization
- Support success stories content curation, writing, editing and production
- Create brand-centric templates and add to template library
- Track metrics of success to measure quality of content, engagement and content reach
- Support the development and strategy around new and existing communication channels
- Develop and execute communication initiatives in partnership with teams across the organization
- Develop scalable communications plans that includes templates, style guides and comms calendars

The ideal Internal Communications Specialist should possess the following:
- Minimum 4 years experience in previous communications support positions
- Technically savvy with comfort level with: Google sheets, Google slides, wiki pages, must be able to use markdown language (combination of HTML & CSS), have experience in managing Google Sites, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Publisher, and familiarity with Adobe XD files.
