Marketing Specialist (Events)

Rate Up to $40/hour DOE
Our professional services client is looking for a Marketing Specialist, who has event experience, to join their team August-January to cover an upcoming maternity leave. This could turn into a full time opportunity for the right fit!

This role is exciting for a Marketing Specialist who is excited to coordinate, organize, and execute 3-4 in person events per month including networking events, mixers, virtual events, golf outings, and customer appreciation events. One event will take place on a Saturday for Fleet Week. In addition, this person will attend and participate in weekly meetings to discuss and plan go-to-market strategies and activities in the Bay Area.

This role is REMOTE but will require you to come onsite for occasional meetings and pre-event needs in the clients' downtown San Francisco office. You will also attend events at various locations around the San Francisco Bay area locations during the assignment.

To be considered for this role, the Marketing Specialist must have:
-Well rounded marketing skills
-Experience executing corporate events
-Excellent writing skills for internal communications
-Strong project management experience; Workfront PLUS
-Strong social skills to act as a liaison for the internal teams

Marketing Specialist responsibilities Include:
-Participate in go-to market strategies & programs
-Conducting various marketing tied into events
-Promoting national projects locally through events
-Conducting pre and post event logistics
-Coordinating communications that require responses
(invites, emails, registration, internal teams requests)
-Initiating and tracking of event attendees
-Develop relationships and organization amongst internal teams and partners to best market the events
