Calling all Product Development Managers with experience developing new retail products. Our paper/plastics client is looking for a Product Development Manager to join their team in a direct hire capacity.

This is a hybrid role in Indianapolis, IN. It's a direct hire position that will ideally start in September 2022.

This Product Development Manager will be responsible for:
Drive product development for new product categories for the business, specially in eco-friendly paper/plastics materials
Focusing on VoC (voice of customer) approach to new product development and identifying market needs and opportunities as it relates to environmentally friendly products
Collaborate closely with product, innovation, sales, and channel marketing teams.
Oversee and assist in execution of development of the new products alongside suppliers
Assist in marketing and sales go to market strategies
Analyze data and performance of products for recommendations of future state and any changes necessary
20% existing product management: P&L, margin and performance improvements, etc.
15-20% travel throughout the U.S., Asia and EU to meet with suppliers to clearly translate goals and ensure product development is executed properly

The Product Development Managers required qualifications are:
- At least 3 yrs experience in product management
- At least 3 yrs experience in product development
- Proven expertise driving new product development while focusing on VoC and identifying customer needs
- Expertise in physical product development (we cannot consider tech or digital product development applicants
- Product development and management background in the B2B and consumer or retail space.
- Highly analytical and data driven
- Very comfortable presenting new product ideas to executives and other business leaders, excellent communicator and presentor

The Product Development Managers preferred qualifications are:
Background in food service
Background in eco friendly materials for paper/plastics or the like
