Our DTC client is seeking an eCommerce Director to lead the development and execution of all eCommerce strategies in support of the companies sales and growth goals.

This position will be mostly remote, but you will be required to be in their Chula Vista office one day per month.

What you will be doing as an eCommerce Director:
-Develop and execute both short-term and long-term DTC sales strategies.
-Oversee the day-to-day management of the companies website and e-commerce
platform (Shopify Plus).
-Implement on-site strategies to accurately reflect brand positioning, grow market share, and achieve defined revenue goals and profitability targets.
- Drive and oversee the implementation of future channel expansion opportunities
-Utilize sales data and market trends to set annual product forecasts and ecommerce spending plans
-Collaborate with key internal stakeholders on new product development and innovation initiatives
-Translate sales data and site analytics into actionable insights and tactics that drive site engagement, AOV, conversion rates, retention rates, LTV and revenue targets
-Regularly monitor competitive landscape and other online retailers to identify and utilize relevant emerging ecommerce, leverage new technologies and
ensure online sales plans reflect the constantly evolving micro-mobility market

What you need to know as an eCommerce Director:
-5+ years ecommerce leadership experience
-Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
-Experience managing third party online retailers and/or marketplaces (Amazon preferred)
-Shopify experience strongly preferred
-Proficient in using web analytics, CRO, heat mapping and AB testing tools
-Highly driven and goal-oriented, despises apathy and complacency
-Knowledge of digital marketing and sales best practices to drive customer acquisition, retention and growth
-Excellent project management skills
-Resourceful and entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with quick transitions
-Knowledge of commonly used DTC concepts, practices and procedures
-Ability to act as an influential and enthusiastic advocate to drive sales goals
-Experience hiring, onboarding and leading internal staff and outside agencies
