Our client is a major tech company looking for a UX Researcher to join their team.

This is a hybrid role based out of our New York office, but currently there are no requirements for in-office work. This role balances the option to work from home with occasional office days as needed and agreed to with your manager Vaccinations required for the NYC location.

As a User Experience (UX) Researcher, you will support the UX Research team by planning, conducting, observing, and analyzing a variety of user research, from user interviews, usability tests, diary studies, and more. This role leads all user experience research for Billing and Payments to support key CX initiatives. You will work closely with the UX Research Lead who governs the Account Experiences portfolio. You will work directly with Experience Designers and Managers to plan research and deliver solutions that satisfy and delight our consumers.

The UX Researcher will:
- Leading every stage of research for your projects, including determining the screening criteria, writing discussion guides, moderating sessions and analyzing findings to uncover insights.- Working directly with the in-house recruitment specialist, as well as remote testing panels and partners to screen in correct study participants.- Formulating insights and story-telling to build empathy for customer experiences.- Presenting insights in a compelling way to help stakeholders understand study findings and drive product decisions and improvements based on findings.- Managing the participant experience to ensure participants are comfortable, protocols maintain confidentiality, and handle note-taking and video responsibilities amongst the core team.

The ideal UX Researcher has:
- Bachelors (completed) or Masters (in progress or completed) in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, Sociology, or related field; OR in lieu of degree, equivalent and related work experience.- 5+ years of relevant work experience.- Experience deploying an array of user research methods (usability testing, user interviews, remote studies, etc.).- Experience crafting discussion guides and appropriate tools and exercises to reveal consumer true needs and desires in close partnership with other teams such as Experience Design, Management and Business Partners.- Detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently on more than one project at a time.- Strong oral and written communication skills.- Generative / foundational research experience with proven influence on product direction and strategy.- Knowledge of or experience with quantitative user research methods (tree testing, quantitative usability, surveys, etc.)
