Do you want to join a team that is dedicated to creating innovative, industry-leading products and experiences that help customers access, share and control their financial data so they can make smart decisions with their money?

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is looking for a technology driven UX Designer to join their cyber security team (day to day the duties might switch between product lines but it will still be within cyber security).

Experience from a technology driven large corporation is ideal.

Top Requirements:
Figma experience is required
Minimum 2-3 years of UI/UX design experience
Experience in any complex space (ideally enterprise technology)
Their design system is now in Figma (experience w/ a design system is strongly preferred)

Day to Day Overview:
Work closely w/ an existing SR researcher and designer on the team on a specific cyber security product
Collaborating with design and research teams (projects are not greenfield, mostly brownfield)
Engage with the internal product owners and developers and then explain design work to the dev. team
Producing sketches/low level wireframes then reiterate w/ the researcher to create a plan and revise designs etc.
Work on internal/employee facing projects (270,000 users!) - nothing is external client facing
A mix of UX/UI design, mostly UI wireframes, storyboards etc.

This UX Designer role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Three to five years of UX experience
Exceptional skills with standard UX software such as Sketch and Invision
Experience with generative and evaluative research methods, motion design or video or an interest in learning those skills
User-centric design approach that involves rapid testing and iteration of designs
Understanding of how design translates to code
Ability to use prototyping tools to convey design intent
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities on tight deadlines without compromising quality
Understanding of accessibility and the ability to apply that to designs
Open minded, collaborative and flexible work style
Comfortable receiving feedback and critiques
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate the value of UX and the rationale behind your research process and design decisions
Soft skills: independence/project ownership, detail oriented, ability to collaborate

In a portfolio, the hiring manager is hoping to see enterprise application/website design projects (and if the project was with someone else who did the research then a case study showing the end to end process would be ideal).

This is a long-term hybrid technology driven UX Designer opportunity (onsite in NYC or NJ) with the potential to convert to full-time!
