Our client, a professional hockey team based on Long Island, is seeking a 3D Artist / Motion Graphics Designer to join their team as a full time employee.

**Please note, this is a hybrid work schedule - there are no set days you will be required to be in the office but you MUST be onsite for training, game days + as needed for meetings, events, etc. You must be willing to commute to the client's office in Floral Park, NY (on Long Island).**


The 3D Artist / Motion Graphics Designer will:

- Create and deliver 3D motion design concepts - graphics and layouts that can leverage the history of franchise at times while also offering ideas for creative risk-taking
- Concept and pitch interactive exhibit ideas/projects and see them through from start to finish for the display boards around the arena, specifically for ice projection, entry zboard installations, IPTV and more
- Handle 3D design needs (including modeling, rendering, shading, texturing, rigging, etc.) as well as 2D needs (animating type, logos, titles, breathing life into static assets, etc.)
- Develop creative that supports sales and builds equity in the brand while creating an energized and fun environment in the arena
- Take tasks from design brief all the way through to implementation on multiple platforms
- Work on a variety of projects that span the entire brand including in-game branding, broadcast graphics, digital, website, social media, arena signage, sales collateral and community events, etc.
- Collaborate will the creative team on a daily basis, including providing and receiving feedback from other team members and implementing as needed
- Engage with the Director of Game Presentation, Director of Video Production, Social Media Managers, Web Content Producer, and other media + external creative agencies
- Work within brand guidelines and any established campaign structure as needed but having the ability to push concepts, elevate designs and come to the table with fresh ideas


The ideal 3D Artist / Motion Graphics Designer must:

- Have at least 4-5 years of 3D and 2D motion experience
- Have previous sport experience
- Have proven 3D motion design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing a clean, modern aesthetic
- Highly skilled in using industry-leading software and technologies, specifically Cinema 4D, After Effects, Redshift, Octane, Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Have expert PC based workflows and operation
- Have a solid understanding of 3D motion design and production software to craft solutions with high visual impact that will help to elicit positive responses from our various customer and client segments
- Be curious to learn and build upon already existing skill set
- Possess a creative and artistic flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Be able to communicate and present ideas to peers while explaining design decisions
- Be fluent in design, fashion, editorial, film and tech as well as visual history and classical references
- Be comfortable tackling problems head-on and adapting to shifting priorities
- Be a motivated self-starter with a no-task-too-small attitude
- Be passionate and invested in your work
- Have a "can do" attitude and be self-motivated
- Be able to switch gears on a moments notice and adapt to shifting priorities
- Be able to manage your own time, work independently, and prioritize tasks
- Liaise with cross-functional internal teams and establish positive relationships
- Have strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Be willing to work flexible hours around hockey games including weekends, holidays, etc.
