Our client, a well known and highly regarded consumer goods and pharma company, is currently seeking a freelance Digital Strategist with Content and Social Media experience to join their team for long term work, through 2022.

This is a hybrid opportunity with 2days/week onsite in NYC and 3days/week remote, starting asap after the interview process continuing through 2022, 40hrs/week with potential to extend.

Digital Strategist with Content and Social Media Responsibilities:
- Develop, sharpen, and generate relevant, consumer-centric content and strategies that will drive compelling and intuitive content, achieving communication goals across multiple disciplines (all consumer touchpoints, emphasis on social)
- Sharpen existing digital strategies against business and brand objectives as well as critical metrics
- Focus on consumer care products within healthcare space
- Ensure overall brand messaging integrates into content strategy, and achieves business goals by optimizing
the impact of content
- In partnership with the Engagement team, track and monitor performance for digital content using social listening and analytics tools (BrandWatch or Sprinklr/Social Studio)
- When necessary, develop A/B testing programs of content concepts or messaging strategies to validate recommendations
- Think about content strategically, and have hands on ability to help develop the content as needed to bring social media campaigns to life
- Well rounded, thinking planning and execution where 60% is oversight and planning and 40% execution
- Work cross-functionally to develop key strategies on how best to message the brand mission, deploy it and bring those pillars to life to consumers in a relatable and relevant way

Requirements:
- 6+ years of digital, social and content strategy or directly related experience is required, and preferably at a major digital agency or consumer-focused brand
- Background in strategy, communications or related fieldis preferred
- Experience with software BrandWatch is preferred, if not, sprinklr or social studio experience will be accepted
- Social media content strategy experience is required, there is a heavy focus on social media, but at times will work on overall content for website (how best organized, from a UX point etc)
- Portfolio must demonstrate the ability to deliver content strategy and consumer-friendly copy for digital channels
- Experience and success transforming business objectives into a plan and deliverables that uses content as a primary means of goal achievement
- The ideal candidate will have experience with consumer-packaged goods in categories such as: skin care, baby care, hair care, oral care, wound care, OTCs, etc.
