Event Specialist

Location Hoboken, NJ (Fully remote)

Rate $35+ DOE
Our client, a leading publishing and education company, is looking for two Event Specialists to assist their team for at least 2-3 months, fully remote, 40 hours a week.

Event trade show experience is required.

Event Specialist Qualifications
At least 2 years of in person trade show/event experience is required
Strong knowledge of virtual events, beginning to end
Experience with GoTo Webinar, Zoom, and Bizzabo for virtual events
Experience with corporate events
Some events are weekends and after hours must be willing to be available (working OT isnt required, the working hours would just be flexible during the week for these occasions)

Event Specialist Duties
Host virtual events, set up registration sites, run the tech rehearsal, etc.
Plan and execute trade shows (no travel) our client would be exhibiting at someone elses trade show
Coordinate contract signing for the booth space, handle payments etc.
Handle event budget reconciliation, order show services, order booth assets, etc.
Manage multiple vendors and coordinate event logistics
Plan corporate vents that our client would host (i.e. a user conference or an investor day or a board meeting etc.)
Help with planning event badges, sponsorship, registration, etc.
Coordinate graphics as needed - make sure marketers hand off the creative brief
Work with the in-house marketers to align on event strategy and plan

This is a fully remote, freelance Event Specialist opportunity for at least 2-3 months with the possibility to extend and possibly convert to full-time! Our client is also open to seeing candidates who only do virtual events (no trade show or corporate vent experience) if they are available for freelance virtual events work as needed (not 40 hours/week).
