One of Houston's top employers is looking for a Graphic Designer to join their team. This is a long-term, freelance assignment.

This is a remote assignment with some in-office meetings.

The ideal Graphic Designer must have experience adhering to brand standards, knowledge of HTML/CSS coding language to create emails/web pages, and collaborating with writers to execute creative solutions.

5+ years of print and/or digital design experience in an agency or in-house creative group
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong portfolio of digital and print samples
Expert level Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Experienced in HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver or Visual Studio (at least 1-3 years)
Experienced in After Effects, Adobe Animate, Adobe Premiere a plus
Familiarity with a work management tool or able to follow a work process/workstreams and be efficient
Ability to design quickly when needed or push an idea further when needed
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a constantly changing, deadline-sensitive environment
Strong attention to detail, accurate QC/proofing of emails
Ability to think strategically and provide creative solutions
Self-motivated and resourceful; sets high personal goals
Practices strong organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving skills required

The Graphic Designer will collaborate with the team and copywriter to design for multiple campaigns with various media deliverables including print materials for direct mail, digital assets such as creating web images and icons, coding emails, web pages, static and animated banner ads, social media images (and/or at times videos)..

Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate with other cross-functional teams
Able to execute quickly, as needed, to support customers through crises, such as severe weather events and other emergency scenarios
Knowledge of HTML/CSS to create/update our existing email templates and/or web pages that are also mobile responsive
Routinely create and update landing pages and promos within our in-house content management systems (SDL Tridion, Adobe Experience Manager, SiteCore, WordPress etc.) and expand skillset in the systems over time
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
Ability to prepare, package, and pre-flight files for production purposes
Expertise in layout and composition, typography, color palettes, grid systems, and knowing the difference when creating web imagery vs. print imagery in the correct resolution
Participate in strategy discussions and provide creative solutions
Stay knowledgeable of the company's brand standards and creative best practices
