Our policy research and think tank client in Washington, DC is looking for a Multimedia Producer to join their team on a temp to permanent contract. This position is 40 hours a week and requires onsite 1-2 days a week plus video shoots.

The ideal Multimedia Producer will have experience concepting, shooting and editing video segments ideally for media or journalism outlet. The ideal candidate will have experience filming editorial content, c-levels, etc.

Duties of the Multimedia Designer:
- Produce (shoot, edit, concept, etc) and manage video production to highly the research and findings of the organization
- Work closely with stakeholders to concept unique and visually appealing visuals that are always factually accurate
- Manage video production including pre-production scheduling, production, post-production including editing, color correction, motion graphics, captioning, voiceover, etc
- Organize and direct location videos and photo shoots - conduct interviews, review/revise scripts, etc
- Manage live streaming for virtual and in-person events
- Manage digital asset management libraries to ensure everything is properly catalogued
- Obtain b-roll or editorial images that accurately capture the location and topic of the video

Requirements of the Multimedia Designer:
- Bachelor's degree in Video, Journalism, Multimedia, etc
- 4+ years of professional video or journalism experience
- Experience working for an educational or research institute a plus
- Experience shooting interviews, b-roll, on location footage
- Expert knowledge of Adobe CC
- Experience adding intros/outros, lower thirds, dynamic text, etc
- Experience shooting with a DSLR
- Experience running live streaming events with OBS, Restream, Vimeo Studio, etc a plus
- Occasional international travel will be required for shoots
