Our client is a startup Business Intelligence company, and they are currently seeking a Digital Content Manager / Editor to join their team!

This is a fully remote position with the option to work out of the NYC office in the future. This is a freelance position to start with the opportunity to convert full time for the right candidate!

You will be reporting directly into the Chief Content Officer with a dotted line to the Editor in Chief of the parent company.

Digital Content Manager / Editor Responsibilities:
- Working within CMS to distribute Newsletters on a daily basis (primarily Wordpress)
- Editing and proofreading Newsletters before they are distributed
- Improving upon content by adding photos in the CMS and tagging them correctly
- Digital content management and site management through Wordpress
- Create / populate microsites, making sure all content displays correctly
-Editing of content, publishing and posting of content on the website, distributing of content thru social and newsletters
- Working with the editor in chief to help define and optimize day-to-day publishing process
- Coming up with new and fresh approaches for story concepts
- Familiarity with social flows and managing social (LinkedIn, Twitter and Hootsuite for distribution)
- Leverage content data to drive engagement of the target audience—ability to read metrics tied to a website
- Lead the charge on engagement by growing the team’s digital and social media acumen
- Continuously advance social, email newsletter, and media
- Engage the editorial team’s commitment to audience development —helping to manage and improve SEO, social media, and e-newsletters

Digital Content Manager / Editor
- 5+ years’ experience in content roles in digital media, including B2B
- Ability to manage content in a digital environment
- Experience distributing Newsletters
- Proficient in Wordpress, Microsoft 360, Excel and Outlook
- A plus if you have knowledge of HTML and Hootsuite
- Track record delivering compelling and sophisticated work, appropriate for a business audience, while also engaging users on human and emotional levels
- Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
