Our client, a global financial services company, is looking to hire two UX Designers, who have experience from a product led environment, for a long-term freelance role with the potential to extend and possible full-time conversion.

The goal is to streamline their operational processes so one example of a project that the UX Product Designers will work on is improving the journey for a first time user of the wholesale payments system.

UX Designer Details:
• The end users of the products are businesses but B2B or B2C experience is fine either way since they also have internal clients - knowledge of lean UX and understanding the user story are most important
• What does a day to day look like? Journey maps, service blueprints, etc.; a UI design system is in place already – visual design experience isn’t important – just UX – almost more of a UX product designer role
• Must Haves: strong visual story-teller, high quality outputs – they have tight design timelines and a lean UX process – strict schedule with their design sprints and a quarterly development schedule
• Required Experience: great at facilitating workshops and leading complex problem-solving design methods

UX Designer Responsibilities
• Understand the different phases of the user research and design process design through wireframes, visual, animation, and prototypes at different levels of fidelity
• Understand and apply accessibility to designs
• Identify usability issues based on heuristic and statistical analyses
• Under direction, execute processes and produce artifacts in support of the project workstream
• Assist in research and analysis

UX Designer Qualifications
• At least 3 years of experience working as a user experience professional
• Familiar with a variety of user research methods and know the strengths and weaknesses of each
• Experience designing world class digital experiences
• Exceptional skills in digital tools and processes (they use Sketch and Invision)
• Understanding of how designs translate to code
• Ability to use prototyping tools to convey design intent
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities on tight deadlines without compromising quality
• Academic and applied knowledge in one or more related areas including: UX Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Service Design, Design Research, Psychology, Anthropology, Prototyping, Strategy

The UX Designer will be remote to start but eventually onsite at their office in Hudson County (easily commutable by public transportation).
