Our client is a leading Social Media / Content Agency, and they are looking for a Freelance Creative Director to join their team!

This is a REMOTE Freelance role and can be based in NYC or LA.

The Ideal candidate will be someone who is obsessed with TikTok and uses it personally or professionally. HUGE plus if you have TikTok marketing campaigns in your portfolio . This person can come from an Art or Copy background. You must be Hands-on and willing to jump in and help create client presentations. This role reports into their CCO.

The IDEAL candidate is obsessed with culture and storytelling, with a passion for innovation and new digital and social media platforms. You’ll be working on TikTok brand channels, viral campaigns, video marketing, and more. You will have extensive experience across social media, and a track record of disruptive brand marketing.

Creative Director Responsibilities:
- Help lead the agency's approach to creative disruption
- Become an expert in TikTok marketing and lead brands to success on the platform
- Provide oversight on content strategy, design, creative and execution alongside our production, strategy, and account teams
- Invent new ways for brands to utilize TikTok and other new digital platforms, to drive virality, engaging brand channels, high-performing ads, and innovative influencer campaigns
- Create campaigns across social media and invent ways to engage on emerging platforms
- Pitch prospective clients on campaign opportunities
- Think holistically about the company's growth, and develop marketing materials and strategies to attract new clients (presentations, social media, blog articles, etc.)

Creative Director Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Creative Agency experience as an Associate Creative Director or Creative Director. Can be from an Art Director or Copy Background.
- MUST have Agency & Social Media experience. Ideally from a boutique, scrappy agency background
- MUST have experience working on TikTok and Social Media campaigns. This work should be in your portfolio.
- Experience taking projects from concept through activation
- Strong creative direction and brand strategy experience
- Deep understanding (and obsession) with social storytelling formats of today, such as TikTok, and an interest in new and emerging social platforms
- Ability to be hands on and not afraid to be scrappy
- Super out-of-the-box creative thinker
- Strong leadership skills - ability to mange a team and lead others and creative direction
- Very organized, able to manage multiple projects at once
- Passionate and skilled mentor and team leader
