Our Tech / Social Media client is currently seeking a News Communications Extern to join their team for a 1 year contract.

This role ideally starts 9/28 and will be a 1 year contract. This is a 40 hour per week position that will be OFFSITE, but candidates need to be East coast based / work ET.

News Communications Extern Responsibilities:
- Support our client's communication activities
- Monitor, analyze and collect new clips
- Research and compile findings on areas of interest to the company, news partnerships and news product teams
- Assist with development and writing of a wide range of materials such as blog posts, briefing sheets, Q&A's and talking points
- Assist with the logistics and execution of internal news team related events
- Track and compile relevant data and information, including social media conversations
- Create media lists, reference grids and other supporting documents
- Collaborate with fellow externs and members of the Communications team on a variety of projects and tasks
- Assist with organizing activities including training and campus tours
- Media outreach

News Communications Extern Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a similar field
- Strong writing and communication skills and attention to detail
- A passion for media and technology
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
