Our client, an innovative, rapidly growing boutique convenience store, is seeking an Account Manager to join their team on a part-time, freelance basis, starting on Monday, 3/30, with the possibility to extend to a full-time role.

In this role the Account Manager will lead large, complex relationships serving as a primary client contact for their most important accounts. The ideal candidate will play a multi-faceted role and will be responsible for all aspects of the program life cycle: project management, diagnosing client needs, managing project teams, and ensuring the highest quality delivery. The Account Manager will oversee the day-to-day relationships with our clients, providing thoughtful and focused leadership.

The Account Manager will be responsible for:

- Day-to-day point of contact for clients, with a focus on building long-term relationships and managing client expectations
- Acting as a trusted advisor with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
- Management of cross functional internal team activities; ensuring the team knows and understands the program vision
- Setting editorial direction for content and event programming by partnering with client stakeholders and internal teams
- Responsible for program management process, including, but not limited to, contracts, program scope, program organization, resourcing, plan development and risk management
- Proactively communicating schedule and scope changes escalation of program issues to internally and with the client
- Upholding standards and best practices methods to mitigate risk on programs
- Surfacing all issues impacting deliverables, schedules, and budget with thorough documentation.
- Budget control and cost analysis on programs and communicating such details to senior management including maintenance of internal and client program reporting
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of services according to customer needs and objectives

The Account Manager must:

- Have 3-5 years in consulting, agency, or industry related experience with a deep understanding of client relationships, team building, and program management best practices
- Have experience in a services organization, preferably in a client facing role with an understanding of editorial, hospitality, residential, commercial and/or retail
- Have demonstrated experience managing medium to large size teams of cross discipline resources with complex, multi-location programs
- Have strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence others by negotiating and building cohesiveness across diverse individual skills and styles
- Have demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Have proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
- Have experience with knowledge of design and design processes, combined with technology
- Be understanding of product design, software or digital development, and brand strategy a plus
- Have excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Have excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Be self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
- Have excellent time and project management skills. You're always looking to improve inefficient processes
- Have keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
- Be an expert at Microsoft Office Suite, Asana, Keynote, Slack and Google Apps
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
