Our client is hiring for a Brand Business Affairs Associate to join their team for the next 3 months, but may convert for right fit.

This will be fully remote, 40 hours per week, for at least 3 months. Must be on pacific timezone!

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Affairs Associate to drive key execution for the internal advertising agency team including managing business facets of content partnerships and creative production: including production, sponsorship and talent agreements, licensing and clearances, scoping legal issues and interpreting contracts as they relate to specific creative and advertising productions across our Brand team.

What you will be doing as a Brand Business Affairs Associate:
- Own asset expiration tracking: Includes Music, Talent, Photos, Fonts, and other IP materials connected to all Brand content. You will work with cross-channel partners to implement an updated tracking process within our project management tool.
- Own and collaborate with Legal and internal Brand teams to build risk assessment guidelines for production content.
- Assess and evaluate production issues. Work with creative team to manage expectations and troubleshoot these issues.
- Ability to provide a risk assessment from creative inception to help prepare content for Legal approval.
- Provide support to build an updated process for Talent/Usage contract request.
- Own onboarding Talent/Vendors within Workday: This includes working with our vendor management partner to get proper paperwork to execute payment.

What you need to know as a Brand Business Affairs Associate:
- Expertise in business affairs, creative production and talent including influencers
- Minimum of 4 years prior experience in rights related positions in the advertising, entertainment, or social media industry
- Extensive up-to-date industry knowledge on licensing issues in a wide variety of media
- Ability to partner with Legal and others in the application of legal standards in marketing, including production contracts, talent contracts, and non-union talent agreements, music licensing, clearances, and licensing of third-party materials, right of publicity, and copyright and trademark considerations
- Can demonstrate leadership and influence in a complex organization; exercising sound strategic, legal, and business judgment in challenging situations; independent and proactive
- Superior organizational, prioritization and time management skills; ability to execute against multiple, high-priority projects, with a keen attention to detail
- Superior communication skills; ability to explain complex legal and business issues with clarity and simplicity to partners

Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal in Business Affairs for Marketing/Production.
- 5-year applicable work experience
