UX Designer - WFH Flexible

Rate Up to $60/hr (DOE)
Our medical device client is looking for a UX Designer to join their team for 10 months, 40 hours/week, potential to convert for the right fit!

This role will require you to come onsite in San Jose for as needed team meetings, 1-2x a week at most.

The UX Designer will be responsible for the following:
- Engage with key stakeholders to better understand the needs of end-users, patients and the environment
- Leverage Human Centered Design (HCD) evaluative and generative research methodologies to conduct user research that generates meaningful insights and inform the creation of new products.
- Develop concepts and prototypes, testing hypotheses and the establishment of product requirements (from sketches to UX workflows, wireframes and interactive prototypes)
- Translate complex, high-level concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes
- Participate (and sometimes lead) in all stages of the product development lifecycle
- Conduct user testing to refined and validate product concepts and prototypes
- Lead design reviews, communicate design concepts to key stakeholders, contribute to roadmap planning, and sprint planning

The ideal UX Designer should have the following experience:
- 5+ years of experience within a product development setting as a UX/Industrial Designer, UX
Researcher, Design Researcher, Design Strategist or Service Designer
- Portfolio demonstrating examples of end-to-end physical/digital product development
- Knowledgeable in both evaluative and generative research methodologies that generate meaningful insights and
actionable outcome
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and establish (and re-establish) priorities
- Familiarity with iterative processes like Agile and the tools and strategies that make those processes successful
- Zeplin, Sketch, Figma, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Balsamiq, etc.
