Our client is hiring an experienced Marketing Director with extensive Business-to-Government (B2G) and leadership experience to join their team full-time.

This is an opportunity to work with a large company with amazing compensation and benefits!

There are a few location options:
- Onsite in Phoenix, AZ with relocation assistance available
- Remote with about 35% travel (monthly to office in AZ and quarterly nationwide)

Must be able to travel monthly/quarterly.

What you will be doing as a Marketing Director (B2G):
- Develop the business unit marketing strategy in alignment with key business unit stakeholders.
- Serve as the go-to-market (GTM) lead for the business unit through sales and marketing campaigns, product launches, strike zone maintenance and broader demand generation initiatives.
- Develop and execute the marketing plan determining the optimal mix of marketing tactics including inbound, outbound and communications/PR tactics, including grassroots initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
- Leverage grass roots marketing initiatives to create and maintain community support for programs.
- Lead and manage business unit branding, graphic communications, digital and media strategies.
- Evolve business unit market position from current state into a recognized solution provider.
- Drive proactive and continuous communication among business partners to ensure active and informed involvement on marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate interactions with marketing agencies and media.
- Responsible for planning and implementation of activities related to marketing and trade meetings and events.
- Deliver and drive marketing performance through key metrics of pipeline creation, market awareness and metrics associated with the budget and the marketing plan.

What you need to know as a Marketing Director (B2G):
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, branding, and communications in a corporate environment, with at least 3 of those years leading a team
- Must have B2G experience to be considered (specifically city, county, municipality, state)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required; MBA degree with a marketing emphasis is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of the competitive and strategic environment specifically within Business to Government sales required
- Experience engaging and leveraging grass roots organizations to accomplish shared goals
- Industry experience and subject matter expertise in Smart City / Smart Transportation domain(s) is preferred
- Experience in event planning and digital marketing
- Demonstrated ability to affect a company’s recognition
- Demonstrated ability to evolve a company’s market position and establish the company in a new market space
- Ability to shape and drive strategy, lead projects and initiatives, and manage staff
- Proven ability to engage in financial decision making from a marketing perspective and develop strategic initiatives to drive greater profitability
