A media agency is hiring a Media Director/Supervisor to join their team, full time.

This is 70% leadership, 30% hands-on media.

You must be able to be client facing in this role, with strong presentation skills.

What you will be doing as a Media Director/Supervisor:
• Leads strategic media planning, buying, and reporting activities for key agency accounts and oversees team members doing the same for their assigned accounts
• Achieves the financial goals of each account by managing costs, revenue, and scope of work in accordance with each respective client or project assignment
• Works with internal team to determine key performance indicators (KPIs) and gauge media performance on all campaigns
• Works with internal team to oversee the development of point of views (POVs) on various media opportunities, as well as incremental spend opportunities
• Mentors and guides direct reports to ensure adequate education to fulfill their respective roles and for advancement • Establishes and grows client relationships by demonstrating an understanding of industry and client business issues
• Actively build relationships and serves as a positive representation of the company within the advertising/media community
• Participates in the recruitment, selection, and evaluation of department and other agency staff
• Actively participates in the senior management team, representing the media department as well as working with other senior managers to develop, lead, and execute the overall company vision
• Champions the mission and values that have historically guided the company to success

What you need to know as a Media Director/Supervisor:
- 10+ years of Media Buying / Planning experience across print, digital, and broadcast (TV/radio)
- Agency experience strongly preferred
- Must have leadership experience
- Strong analytical and organization skill set
- MS Office, Media Buying software and Project Management software
- Effectively communicates across all levels of the organization
- Leads by example assisting in various levels of the planning, buying, and reporting process
- Establishes and builds effective relationships and trust within and outside the immediate team
- Values and promotes collaboration
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of media on- and offline
- Maintains a detailed knowledge of the media landscape, trends, challenges, and competition
- Solid understanding of traditional research and digital research, planning, buying, and reporting tools
- Mastery of media concepts and terminology
- Ability to translate data into well-articulated communications
- Creative ability to develop innovative solutions
- Success in managing prior client accounts and participation as a senior manager
- Superior written, presentation, analytic quantitative/ qualitative and verbal skills
