Our national retail client is looking for a Director of Marketing and Campaign to join their team onsite full-time in Charlotte.
The right candidate will come directly out of big-box retail, from an organization with a complex structure and deep understanding of how to implement strategy. The position will have 6 direct reports and the client is offering a lucrative relocation package including home buyout. Salary range is around $150K depending on experience.

The Director of Marketing & Campaign Operations plays a critical role in Marketing Operations with responsibility for management of day-to-day creative production and campaign project management. The Director ensures all planned and approved off-cycle work activity has assigned support (adjusting as needed to manage capacity or for specific skill sets), project deliverables are clearly communicated and managed to aligned delivery dates, and supports any tradeoffs or mitigation plans through direct involvement with the broader team as needed. Finally, the Director ensures efficient use of available resources through support of standardized procedures and processes, active team coaching and support and working within the Marketing Operations organization to ensure accurate visibility of production and campaign development work activity (status, risks, etc) to both marketing leadership and working teams.

Responsibilities:
Manage team of project managers and creative production teams ensuring delivery of assigned work on time, on budget and consistent with intent
Manage work assignments for the project management and production teams, ensuring support for both planned and approved off-cycle project and creative needs, accounting for the specific needs of the assignment to ensure appropriate coverage and support
Collaborate with marketing leaders across operations and other key areas to understand resource needs and identify opportunities for project synergies and efficiencies, including cost effectiveness
Report project status, escalations, and tradeoffs through accurate management of workflow information, including accurate capture of deliverable due dates and actual deliverable completion dates
Lead working team sessions as needed or scheduled to ensure both appropriate resourcing and alignment on execution deliverables
Primary point of contact for updates, issues and escalations for all in-flight campaign and creative work under management
Work closely with Sr Director Marketing Operations to identify process, policy and procedure opportunities to improve consistency of execution
Delegates team members to provide subject matter expertise in support of developing, documenting and socializing new or clarified processes, procedures and policies

Required Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field or 10+ years of related work experience
More than 10 years of experience in Client-side marketing operations experience or combined 10 yrs client / agency side
More than 5 years of experience managing complex and fast-paced retail projects
Minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrated ability to develop and lead high-performance teams
Minimum of 5 years of experience National big-box retail experience
Preferred: MBA, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications or 15 years of related work experience
