Our tech client is looking for a Lead UX/UI Product Designer to join their team. This is a leadership role that offers the opportunity to make a huge impact on the product design team of a fast growing tech startup. If you are highly creative, like to test out ideas and experiment, and are comfortable with being wrong, this is the position for you!

This is a hybrid position that requires 2-3 days in the office. The Lead UX/UI Product Designer will play a key role in the companys design projects and entire product life cycle. Their products are simple, yet beautiful and effective and aim at making their customers lives easier. The Lead UX/UI Product Designer should be an expert in their field, passionate about product design, and willing to work in a highly collaborative environment.

Lead UX/UI Product Designer Responsibilities:

1. Fully own the entire UX/UI product experience end to end as well as contribute to overall product development
2. Design workflows for mobile and web, develop prototypes
3. Work closely with VP of Product, Product Managers, and other cross functional teams in a highly collaborative environment
4. Research, test, and validate your assumptions and designs with the team and external users

Lead UX/UI Product Designer Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience in UX/UI product design with a proven track record of success in creating native/mobile/web applications
2. Ability to design projects across the entire product life cycle and multiple product launches
3. Tenured experience using Figma
4. High-level flow thinking; ability to define problems and goals, map user flows, prototype interactions, and oversee the building process across different platforms
5. Ability to come to a deep understanding of customer problems and to create elegant, yet practical solutions
6. Expert knowledge and experience across a range of design approaches, methodologies, and lo-fi/hi-fi prototyping skills
7. Initiative to identify problems and act on opportunities
Confident in abilities and expertise and able to communicate reasoning behind decisions
8. Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills; highly collaborative
9. Exceptional knowledge of social media is a plus
10. Experience working for very user friendly B2C markets is a plus (i.e. Expedia or HEB)
11. Experience designing for high-volume, low-tech users is a plus
