UI Designer - Seattle

Our eCommerce client is looking for a UX/UI designer to join their team. This role could start out freelance and convert to full time, or it could be a full time direct hire for the right person. This will be a remote position, but they do expect occasional onsite meetings in Georgetown down the road.

*You must be in Washington state while working in this role. *

In this role you will:
- assist with UX and UI strategies based on target goals
- work within overall company brand guidelines and create a UI brand guideline to be used across the organization
- create and maintain digital assets, such as interface design files, wireframes, and interactive mockups
- create user-centered designs by understanding internal business requirements, voice of the customer, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings
- translate functional ideas and concepts into user flows, webpage wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
- facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products
- design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
- identify design problems and devise elegant, frictionless solutions
- make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core product functions and features


Job skills & requirements:
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience
- demonstrated experience designing for B2B and B2C ecommerce websites with revenues in excess of $50 million in annual revenue
- experience working on a project long enough to see it through multiple versions- understanding how to enhance/refine products
- experience working in Agile environments (SaFe, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
· proficiency in designing interfaces and building clickable prototypes
· experience with mobile first/ responsive design - deconstructing user behavior to create an improved experience for users
