Our client, a startup apparel company based in San Diego, is looking for a Director of eCommerce to join their team full-time.

Your core responsibilities will include defining their product vision and roadmap, overseeing the day-to-day operation of headless digital storefronts, and working cross-functionally to ensure seamless marketing activations.

As the Director of eCommerce you will:
- Create and manage a high performing online shopping experience
- Own all aspects of the DTC website as their main sales channel including: shopping experience, site content, digital merchandising, product discovery, navigation, and conversion optimization
- Create and effectively champion a data-driven and customer-led product vision, strategy, and roadmaps
- Manage third-party tech platforms that support Marketing, Website, Ops and Analytics
- Oversee marketing activation on site
- Collaborate to accomplish marketing objectives
- Provide business metrics and reporting to anticipate, measure, and evaluate product health and success
- Troubleshoot pain points in the online customer experience to help the customer shop effortlessly and convert faster
- Work with Merchandising to innovate new storytelling concepts and ways to display products in interesting and engaging online formats
- Establish, maintain and enforce the rhythm of the business (RoB) for the ecommerce department
- Uphold an inclusive, collaborative, creative & agile team culture.

This Director of eCommerce needs:
- BA degree
- 8+ years of Ecommerce, management consulting, digital product management
- Experience with Shopify Plus (headless experience a bonus)
- Experience with building and managing teams
- Able to set the high level long-term strategic vision and distill it down into actionable priorities and trackable KPIs
- A natural curiosity for ways to grow a product and desire to investigate new opportunities to improve the customer experience and business metrics
- Clear communicator with an ability to articulate timelines, roles & responsibilities and distill complex concepts into digestible takeaways
- Able to manage expectations and stakeholder demands
- Effective at leading and collaborating across departments and being accountable for high priority projects
- Thrives in a fast-paced, results/output-oriented environment where structure is not always prevalent
- Passion for / interest in mens apparel a plus!
