Sr. UX Designer

Our client, a recently acquired agency specifying in medical devices, is looking to bring on a UX Designer to join their team full-time.

As the UX Designer you will:
- Provide day-to-day oversight on UX work for individual projects
- Delegate work and direction to other designers on individual projects
- Create user interfaces for embedded software, applications, and web-based solutions
- Translate user needs into workflows and UX design approaches
- Create storyboards, Information Architecture schematics, wireframes and design comps
- Work with stakeholders to obtain and translate requirements into specifications
- Analyze user research to make appropriate design revisions
- Ensure UX/UI programs follow user and task centered design principles
- Clearly communicate design direction to clients and internal teams
- Create design guidelines, developer?s guides, and related documentation supporting development processes
- Collaborate with various teams to integrate UX/UI design into a total design solution
- Participate in internal meetings and reviews

As the UX Designer you need:
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping
- Full understanding of fundamentals of UX design + supplemental skills to augment the fundamentals
- Experience as a Design Lead role on two or more products not websites) that have gone to market
- Experience designing for FDA classified medical devices/solutions
- Experience creating storyboards, wireframes, workflow diagrams, design comps, typography and production assets
- Ability to work in both Agile and Waterfall environments
- Experience presenting and articulating designs
- Creative problem solving ability
- Developing scalable solutions to support comprehensive UX strategy initiatives

- Excellent visual design skills with an awareness of medical device requirements
- Previous experience designing medical device solutions preferred
- Familiarity with FDA regulatory guidelines including IEC-62366
- Ability to design within risk-mitigation guidelines and requirements as established by the FDA and European
regulatory bodies
- Experience designing for embedded device solutions
- Working within a Quality Management System
