Our industrial manufacturing client in Irving is looking for a Digital Asset Manager! This REMOTE (during COVID), FREELANCE assignment starts this month for at least 6 months.

The Digital Asset Manager will help set up the client for a successful switch from Z-DAM to Widen as well as companywide usage and adoption of Widen.

We are looking for a Digital Asset Manager with a consultative approach to more effectively and efficiently meet the client's short- and long-term action items and goals for this project.

Digital Asset Manager Requirements
• 2+ years relevant experience + Bachelor's degree
• Strong DAM system knowledge and implementation
• Digital asset cataloging, data migration, metadata mapping, metadata schema crosswalks, data normalization
• Strong attention to detail a must

Software: Widen or similar robust DAM system

Digital Asset Manager Responsibilities
- Review current asset metadata for completeness, relevancy and accuracy
- Review and clean up current state DAM repositories (asset file cleanup, de-duplication, re-organization, etc.)
- Follow established rules/guidelines for asset-tagging and cataloging; correct and create descriptive & administrative metadata for digital asset discovery and access
- Determine optimal way to standardize assets for efficient migration from zDAM to Widen
- Lead data migration from zDAM to Widen
- Represent client in work with Widen vendor team to champion client needs, implementation and decisions
- Recommend and implement best practices for workflow, templates, Adobe CC features, etc. within Widen
- Partner with client stakeholders and content contributors across various business functions to research, identify, prepare and prioritize digital assets for upload to new DAM
- Participate in weekly DAM system implementation meetings and actively contribute to overall metadata and content management efforts in support of DAM needs
- Define and support plan for DAM and metadata governance, optimization, and continuous improvement
- Support companywide adoption through communication and training development / implementation
