Our client, a major American footwear manufacturer is looking for an eComm Site Merchandiser to join their team for long-term freelance assignment - starting this month!

As the eComm Site Merchandiser, you will be responsible for maximizing consumer experience and driving revenue growth on the brand’s website by managing strategic ecommerce merchandising! You will report directly to the Sr. eComm director and work collaboratively with various members of the merchandising, eComm, product, and web development teams.

Duties Include:
- Partner with ecommerce buyer and content manager to plan and execute seasonal marketing features based on key brand stories, seasonality, forecasts, selling trends, and available inventory.
- Evaluate, maintain and execute effective product categorization, keywords, attributes, sort orders, site search filtering and categorization strategies
- Partner with leader to determine appropriate merchandise site plan strategy and development
- Create and execute seasonal merchandising plans to deliver a compelling consumer experience and to effectively present product stories in an integrated manner across all ecommerce touch points (site, email, social, display etc.).
- Recommend and execute seasonal promotional plans to maximize revenue and achieve gross margin targets, in direct partnership with Buying and Planning.
- Use reporting and web analytics tools to analyze site experience and product presentation performance and makes modifications as needed to enhance website conversion and revenue as it relates to site merchandising
- Drive A/B testing to optimize conversion performance
- Lead and conduct researching the marketplace and competitive set for best practices, trends, new ideas and actions to be taken related to the online consumer shopping experience and site presentation.
- Monitor and implement product recommendations, cross sells and upsells for brand.

The IDEAL eComm Site Merchandiser will have:
- 3-5 years of online merchandising experience
- Background in direct-to-consumer preferred
- Experience with web technology platforms/working with a content management system to update pages
- Excellent quantitative/analytical skills
- Ability and desire to work at both the strategic and tactical levels
- Proficient knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word – advanced Excel skills preferred
- Working knowledge of SEO

This opportunity is currently remote, but you will be required to come onsite as needed once guidelines lift (estimating mid-summer). The project is slated for 8 months at 40hrs/wk with possibility to extend or be converted to full time.
