Our client, a well-known higher education institution in Boston, is looking for a Senior Designer to join their Advancement Marketing & Communications Team!

The Senior Designer will report into the Director of Communications & Marketing and will be responsible for overseeing the ideation, coordination and execution of design and digital direction of the department.

This role will deliver communications that articulate a consistent identity and vision across a variety of mediums and align with stakeholder objectives.

Responsibilities include:
- Manage a team of designers and project managers - assigning projects, reviewing work, coaching and maintaining quality across all content
- Manage the portfolio of print and digital design projects and participate in brainstorming sessions
- Seeks inspiration beyond the industry and shares knowledge with colleagues regarding trends in branding
- Leads concepting and oversees design process
- Hires and manages outside vendors on appropriate projects
- Develop strategy for how to maximize existing communication platforms to have the greatest visual impact
- Act as a creative leader on the team, while also willing to design/execute on specific projects

The ideal Senior Designer will have:
- 5+ years of design experience; higher education a huge plus!
- A strong portfolio with a mix of print and digital work
- Experience refreshing an established brand is a plus
- Experience leading others is not required, but preferred

This is a full-time opportunity and a great time to join a team that is looking to refresh their visual identity and expand upon their digital presence.

Note: the team is currently remote, but as of August, the team will be back 4 days per week in the office, 1 day remote.
