Our client, a specialized marketing group that has created a data-driven technology platform to connect students and higher education institutions, is seeking a Head of Media Planning / Strategy to join their team.

**Please note, this role is open to fully remote candidates but the ideal candidate will be commutable to the company's office in Williamsburg. A laptop will be provided to you!**

The Head of Media Planning / Strategy will be responsible for:

- The strategy and day to day function of the campaign & media planning team
- Innovating new media and channels to include in campaign plans (including being the main point of contact and source for new media channels)
- Managing day to day planning and communication with 2-3 clients
- Working alongside the new business team to write briefs / media plans and pitch new clients
- Being the point of contact for our media partners in the US for both digital (search, social, display) and offline (out of home, press, radio, etc)
- Proactively sourcing new partners and creating effective partnerships
- Ensuring the team is providing expert consultancy and advise that goes beyond just CPCs and CPMs, focusing on lead and applicant quality and cost of acquisition, as well as creative performance and observations across all channels
- Using all available data as the foundations for all client recommendations
- Contributing to RFPs and new business pitches, with innovative creative & media campaign strategies
- Tracking and reviewing client satisfaction on campaigns and service levels, and producing solutions and mitigations to ensure client satisfaction and renewal
- Producing strategies to increase client spend on creative and media, seeing a marked growth in this across the client portfolio
- Presenting quarterly to all of our clients on new advertising and creative innovations, both in and out of the education sector
- Hosting weekly 1-1s with individual team members and setting individual team objectives
- Determining who manages new media plans and managing active media plans (based on capacity)
- Liaising with other "Heads Of" to fine tune new processes
- Maintaining relationships and identifying new relationships with suppliers


The Head of Media Planning / Strategy must:

- Have at least 5 years of media planning experience
- Previous experience in higher education is preferred but not required
- Have previous experience managing a team and be comfortable leading, mentoring and growing the skillsets of 4 direct reports
- Be proficient in the Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
- Have proven client-facing experience and be comfortable writing media plans, leading pitches and being the point of escalation for trickier client situations
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong project management skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to quickly establish trust with clients
- Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Be a strong presenter, virtually and in-person
- Have a can-do attitude with an ability to embrace new challenges and ways of thinking
- Be very hands on, a self-starter that can pick up a project and run with it
- Be willing to work non-traditional hours as needed in order to meet deadlines and accommodate colleagues around the globe
