Our financial client is looking for a Proposal Writer to join their team for 12 months. If you have experience taking ownership of a proposal project and seeing it through from initial review, writing to final document, this could be a great opportunity for you.

What you'll be doing as the Proposal Specialist in this role:
- Managing the full life-cycle of an RFP project from receipt to submission.
- Consulting and collaborating with multiple stakeholders including sales, account management, underwriting, design and communication resources to create high impact sales proposals that will optimize the opportunity to win/retain the business.
- Using RFP database (Loopio) to complete proposals by applying the correct responses and sourcing questions out to Subject Matter Experts.
- Customizing responses to address client requirements.
- Leading multiple proposals and priorities simultaneously.
- Spearheading strategy meetings with key partners to determine action plan; orchestrates approach by identifying client hot topics.
- Finding opportunities to differentiate client's offering from competition.
- Ensuring quality, accuracy, completeness, compliance, and timely delivery of proposals.
- Providing proactive, strategic insight on the content for sales proposals and relevant collateral.
- Monitoring the overall presale process and quality of output .

(Occasional evenings and weekends may be necessary to fulfill job requirements)

Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years experience working on Proposals as a Proposal Specialist, Proposal Writer or similar role.
- Ideally knows how to use RFP software/tools (i.e. Loopio, Qvidian, RFPIO).
- You have a marketing or internal communications background or have worked closely with these teams.
- Proven ability to take ownership of projects and manage them simultaneously.
- Can work independently.
- High attention to detail to ensure compliance and accurate proposals.
- Previous experience in business development or technical writing.
- PC proficient, particularly in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
