Post-Production Studio is seeking a QC Manger to join their growing team!

Ideally we are looking for someone specializing in marketing deliverables, i.e. bug placements, social specs for Youtube, Instagram, etc.

QC Manager Duties:
Responsible for overseeing QC team and ensuring that Quality Control rounds are completed at each stage of the finishing process including but not limited to reviewing creative offlines, client approval files, approved mezz masters, identifying AV spec discrepancies and flaws in all file formats attributable to Broadcast, Online and Streaming (HD, 4K, HDR, Stereo, 5.1, 7.1, Atmos).
Partner with Media Services Manager and Director of IO / New Media in reviewing and ensuring that all content meets industry specs, clients, and companys standards.
Responsible for managing QC master files and deliverable files, working with post-production team members to fix any issues with Master files before shipping to client.
Responsible for communicating to producers and post-production team members when content has been approved, when Master files are needed to be created and QCd and what/when deliverable files are needed to be created.
Manages and coordinates with producers & IO department regarding the execution of deliverable files after passing QC process.
Manages updates to Project notes once files are made and delivered to ensure that they are clear, concise, accurate and up to date.
Responsible for accurately tracking/entering hours daily within Xytech and package billing upon project completion.

Requirements:
5-7+ years experience
Preferred prior experience in post-production studio or in-house team
Previous experience within managing a quality control team ideal
Fluent experience in on Mac & PC in addition to various platforms and file formats. Adobe Suite, Compressor, FCP 7, Quicktime, other encoding platforms. Common Industry File formats: Pro Res, H265, etc.
Advance knowledge of file formats (Quicktime, H264, AAFs, etc) and File Viewing programs (Quicktime Pro, VLC, etc)
Familiar with various file transfer programs (Aspera, Dropbox, etc)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written allowing clear communication between multiple departments throughout the finishing process
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask, run multiple projects, handle a fast paced, and occasionally high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail
Willingness to work very flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, or nights when production schedules
