A large retailer is looking for a Lead UI Developer to join its team. This is an ONSITE, full-time opportunity in Katy, TX.

The ideal UI Developer will be a self-starter who takes initiative; able to quickly grasp needs, understand/break down challenges and attack projects without much direction.

The Lead UI Developer will support the digital strategy through the development of engaging digital experiences that are meaningful to the customer, meet the end users needs, and align with the brand positioning and business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads collaboration within a team, including internal team reviews and presentations
Provides clear feedback to other developers, recognizing different talents and areas of growth
Demonstrates ability to act as a coach or mentor to less experienced team members
Partners across interdisciplinary teams on related research, strategy development, conceptualizing, product definition, functionality, and process flow as it pertains to the digital or customer experience
Champion UI engineering best practices as it relates to user experience, performance, SEO, and accessibility.
Takes on complex problems and work toward simple solutions; demonstrates excellent communication skills to talk through and present solutions with senior leaders, as well as technical and nontechnical personnel
Collaborates with designers to innovate on native applications and new technologies
Serves as a transformational change agent; embed customer experience into everything we do
Communicates development strategies and rationale to key stakeholders, and work with your team and peers to collaborate on solutions

REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience in UI Engineering, Web Development, Software Development or similar
Working Experience building web experiences with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
Working Experience leading development teams in the development and delivery of rich customer experiences
Advanced experience in developing user interfaces for mobile and desktop, responsive design, and cross-platform native applications
Ability to effectively communicate development strategy and rationale to key stakeholders, and work with the team and peers to collaborate on solutions
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
Excellent communication skills; able to work with a wide variety of people, positions, and personalities
A passion for self-growth; open to feedback; able to hear constructive criticism and improve upon work
