A retail company is looking for a Social Media Manager to join their team. This is an onsite full time opportunity that starts in January 2022.

The ideal Social Media Manager will be a strategic thinker who understands how to convert a business need into a plan for connecting with customers via social channels.

The Social Media Manager will report to the Brand and Content Director while managing a small team.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar field of study required
- 6+ years of professional corporate communication or public relations experience
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Social media strategy and execution experience
- Proactive problem solver who can synthesize complex problems into clear action items
- Adept at managing paid support across key social platforms to maximize investment
- Fluent in management of talent and cross-channel execution of social influencer marketing
- Strong presentation skills,
- Effective listening, speaking, presentation, and visual storytelling ability
- Excellent organizational skills
- Collaborative team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast paced, frequently changing environment
- Maintain internal and external client relationships

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead all strategy development and plan building for key social platforms of Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube
- Launch, activate, and manage new, emerging social platforms such as Reddit with an integrated approach to support business objectives and brand equity
- Build and manage micro and scaled influencer strategy and plans to support key business initiatives
- Collaborate with any external agency partners to develop strategic support plans tied to social channels
- Serve as primary internal liaison for social media
- Manage a team responsible for in-person support and coordination of social media on nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by business needs
- Manage social media communities, content and advertising budget
- Manage associates through coaching and establishing a positive, productive work environment
- Provide regular reporting, tracking and analysis on social media content
- Monitor and respond to social media in all platforms
- Support crisis communications and internal communications efforts as needed
