Our scientific non-profit client in Washington, DC is looking for a Web Content Editor with excellent copy editing skills to join their team on a 2-3 month contract with possibility to extend.

This position is 37.5 hours a week.

The ideal Web Content Editor will have experience editing, uploading and managing content through a CMS.

Duties of the Web Content Editor:
- Copy editing content to meet the client's brand style guidelines and for grammatical consistency
- Upload and publish new website content
- Find and correct broken links, missing media files etc
- Resize and format images for upload
- Edit copy for SEO best practices

Requirements of the Web Content Editor:
- Bachelors degree
- 2+ years of Web Content Management experience
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for photo cropping, resizing, compression
- Experience working with a CMS - Kentico, Joomla, Drupal, WordPress
- Knowledge of web accessibility guidelines and SEO best practices
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS highly preferred
- Knowledge of Trello, Jira or SmartSheet highly preferred
