Our marketing agency client in Alexandria, VA is looking for a talented UI Designer to join the team on a temporary to possible full-time contract. This position is 40 hours a week and ongoing.
The ideal UI Designer will have experience designing custom WordPress websites.
You must have a portfolio showcasing your design thinking to be considered for this role.
Duties of the UI Designer:
- Create lo-fi and hi-fi mock ups for websites in WordPress
- Design visual elements for specific websites and icon libraries
- Design visually appealing websites for development team
- Execute wireframes based on research, personas, and customer journeys as needed
- Gather insights and provide recommendations to improve customer experience based on prototype feedback as needed
- Translate business requirements into prototypes and mock ups for client approval
- Communicate design thinking and customer experience for concept and final product to stakeholders
Requirements of the UI Designer:
- 3+ years of UI/visual design/graphic design experience in an agency or large in-house environment
- Experience designing landing pages, responsive websites
- Bachelors degree in Design
- Knowledge of Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision
- Experience wireframing and sitemapping websites a plus
- Experience conducting user testing a plus
- Front end development knowledge a plus
