Event / Program Coordinator - WFH during Covid-19

Our client is the Communications team of a major tech company seeking an Event Coordinator (known as the Program Coordinator) for a 12-month, 40 hours/week assignment that starts remotely and will eventually transition to a hybrid onsite schedule in Northern NJ (date still TBD).

The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing, PR, event management, social media, or corporate citizenship. Experience with an Educational Program (ie. Science Fair) is a major bonus, but not required.

The Event / Program Coordinator will:
- Plan projects and execute tasks for major annual contest
- Monitor/execute social media posts during/for events
- Manage projects for the alumni program
- Coordinate all partner relationships (invoices, calls, etc.)
- Research to support program objectives

The Event / Program Coordinator must have:
- 2 years of project coordination experience in marketing, PR, events (preferably virtual), or communications
- Skills in using social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Snapchat) OR a high level of comfort in learning social media platforms and tools quickly
- Experience with invoice processing, documentation, and vendor relationship management
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PPT)
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related
