Our client, a tech startup in the architecture/construction space, is looking for a full-time, hands on Head of Content to join their growing in-house team!

Substantial experience in architecture/construction/real estate in a marketing capacity is key.

The ability to produce content across blog posts, guides, newsletters, social media and email is required and the industry experience will lead to relevant content.

They're a virtual team with offices in NYC so the Head of Content can be fully remote but must be in the Northeast area to eventually come to the office even just once or twice a month.

A background, in any capacity, from the building environment is needed (it could be architecture, real estate, real estate development, a design studio or construction).

The Head of Content will report to the CEO and be responsible for the company’s overall content strategy (internal) and also collaborating with in-house marketing teams to develop campaigns that can amplify the brand’s reach (external).

This could grow into a role with direct reports and eventually be more hands off but starting out it will require delegating projects to team members and working alongside them.

Head of Content Responsibilities
• Planning, developing and implementing the overall company's content strategy
• Collaborating with manufacturers’ in-house marketing team to create personalized marketing campaigns
• IE: a new product line of windows launched by a manufacturer, partner content would be maybe a guide on how to find the right windows for your project
• Assigning tasks to a digital content manager and reviewing the output
• Growing the architect customer base with engaging content across series
• Turning the company into an SEO powerhouse for the construction industry
• Collaborating with designers, product marketing, sales, and external influencers and other industry experts
• Reaching out to industry thought leaders for collaboration on content, such as a blog article

Head of Content Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in content/email marketing based roles within the architecture, design or construction industry
• Hands on content marketing experience is required
• All of their campaigns will be digital including a regular newsletter going out to all architects and manufacturers who’ve signed up on their platform
• 3+ years of experience in developing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven managerial ability for small teams
• Bring an agile, objective test-measure-report-learn-optimize approach every day

This is a full-time Head of Content opportunity and substantial experience in architecture/construction/real estate in a marketing capacity is required. The client is looking to move quickly!
