Our client, a global investment firm, is looking for a strategy focused Data Analyst who preferably has financial experience to join their team, Full Time.

The digital department sits on top of a wealth of data, including web, email, sales (from CRM), asset flows, market, and other 3rd party data that is integrated into data-driven decision making. This role involves working with key decision makers to solve business problems.

Responsibilities of the Data Analyst, Finance:

The Data Analyst, Finance, will be asked to identify, track and analyze the behavioral data of the clients and prospects to gain insights into who they are and how they interact with clients across all digital touchpoints (web, email, social, organic).

• 80% Analytics/Strategy: business intelligence insights and recommendations
• Formulate hypotheses that can be tested, measured, and reported to a larger audience
• Support business priorities by identifying key trends in big data to drive business growth
reporting and business intelligence
• A/B testing and improvements

• 20% Reporting/Monitoring: SEO/KPI/Channel dashboards and ad hoc reports
• Monitor KPIs engagement reports for traffic, audience, products, content and conversion quality
• Establish and monitor intraday vital signs/signals of web, organic/direct, social/referral, and paid traffic to ensure engagement tracks to expectations

You will be asked to create models to group the different types of audiences that engage, provide insights on those various personas, and identify where each individual is in the marketing cycle and conversion funnel. The outputs include reporting at the client and audience levels, tied to products using key performance indicators and benchmarks.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Prior hands-on experience (3 – 5 years - Associate) / 6 - 8 years - Manager) working in data analytics and decision science, preferably within financial services
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, statistical analysis and data modeling
• Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI (preferred), Tableau, etc.
• Web analytics tool experience, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manger (GTM), MOZ preferred
• Superior knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF formulas, charts, and filters
• Experience working with large data sets
• Astute at problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting
