In the US, there are only 71,444 UX professionals (Source: Lightcast). This is an up-and-coming field and the supply has yet to catch up to the ever-increasing demand.

During the past 12 months, in the United States, only 1 out of 14 UX roles were filled (Source: Lightcast). The increased demand for these roles, combined with the shortage of UX talent, has led clients to offer increased salaries, flexibility, and other benefits to try and attract UX talent.

The turning tides have changed the game for UX professionals, with salaries increasing by 23.7% year over year.

In the past 12 months, 84.4% of UX roles that Creative Circle has partnered with clients to fill have been remote. In many cases, this is because UX talent is limited and businesses have had to seek out talent outside of their local city to find the right candidates.
