Our Financial Services client is seeking a Freelance Copy Editor / Proofreader to work with their in-house agency.
This is a Fully remote role but you must be able to work EST hours. This role will start in January / February 2021 and will be on a project basis.
Copy Editor / Proofreader Responsibilities:
- Review copy for any spelling or grammatical errors
- Ensure copy is well written and clear
- Ensure copy is in line with the brand's tone, voice and style guidelines
- Fact check to ensure accuracy
- Make recommendations to enhance readability and conciseness
Copy Editor / Proofreader Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications
- 4-7 years of experience in proofreading and copy editing, preferably with from an Agency background
- Excellent, editing and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow and grammar
- Knowledge of AP Style
- Ability to understand brand and style guidelines and apply them to copy
