Associate Creative Director

Rate $120K - $185K + annual bonus & stock options
Our client, a well-known American producer, and marketer of beer, wine, and spirits, is looking for an Associate Creative Director with 5-8 years of experience in graphic design, visual arts, and/or advertising creative, overseeing multiple consumer brands at a time.

They want to see high-end/ luxury work! Spirits is a bonus!

This is a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will be based in San Francisco and onsite in San Francisco 1-2 days per week as well as onsite in Napa, CA, from time to time for shoots.

Responsibilities:
- Support the development of brand & style guidelines (experience with luxury brands a big plus), and then translate those guidelines into creative output across all relevant brand channels
- Manage and mentor a team of 3-4 creatives (designers, copywriters, videographers, photographers, and post editors) to help produce asset templates and guidelines for all brand channels - including digital, print, and packaging
- Partner closely with Growth Marketing team members to glean performance-driven insights, to refine & inform future creative direction & development, geared to drive DTC KPIs.
- Collaborate with developers (both internally and external agency partners) to ensure proper implementation within a web and mobile environment for eCommerce store fonts
- Provide design support to DTC group leadership, to create reporting templates and milestone slide presentations
- Actively participate in ongoing brainstorms and promotional calendars, and then execute on the creation of assets for the resulting campaigns
- Provide Creative thought-leadership, and reinforce a culture of innovation, within an ever-evolving, fast paced and nimble eCom team

Required Skills/Experience:
- 5-8 years of professional experience either agency or brand-side, in graphic design, visual arts, and/or advertising creative, overseeing multiple consumer brands at a time
- A portfolio of work proven to drive business results, and aesthetically align with brand guidelines
- Deep understanding conceptualizing, producing, and evaluating platform-specific direct response creative, geared to drive mid-to-lower funnel objectives
- Proven experience designing within modern day e-commerce tech stack, including but not limited to websites (Shopify, WooCommerce) & ESPs (e.g. Klaviyo, ReSci).
- Deep knowledge of social media ad asset guidelines, and an understanding of platform capabilities and user behavior
- Ability to collaborate closely & build trust w/ cross-functional teams, agency partners, & other relevant stakeholders
- Comfortable working within presentation tools
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
- Motion Graphics skills and sketch as a PLUS
