Our Food Industry publication client needs a full time Senior Editorial Writer to join their team this spring.

The ideal candidate has experience writing short and long form Business Editorial articles. While it's a bonus if you have food industry or agriculture experience, it's more important that the candidate has experience writing on the state of a business and able to review and synthesize data to write industry overviews at a high level.

The Senior Editorial Writer responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team of writers to publish essential information for business leaders in the Food Industry / Grain-based space
- Contribute original editorial content and informative multi-sourced feature-length articles to be used across traditional print and emerging digital platforms
- Establish, develop and maintain sources to provide relevant and compelling insight into the grain-based food industry
- Identify unique story ideas with emphasis on business topics such as economic, legislative and market trends
- Establish presence in the industry as a skilled journalist and subject matter expert
- Edit content for accuracy, quality and style

Senior Editorial Writer requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Economics, Business or related discipline
- 7+ years of writing experience in a journalistic/educational format
- Experience writing financial or business articles preferred
- Knowledge of food-based markets preferred or a demonstrated interest in learning the industry

The ideal candidate is excellent at researching, interviewing and editing, has the ability to analyze data and the ability to write about industry / market activity, financial and economic impacts.
