Our client, the innovation team of a global CPG brand, is looking for a Senior Product Innovation Strategist / Manager to help their team on a freelance basis. You must have deep expertise in the CPG product development, design and innovation.

***Ideally, you're commutable to NYC and can work in the office once every two weeks.***

To be considered for this role, please apply with the following:

* Case studies / portfolio showing your process, design thinking and results regarding design strategy and actionable strategy solutions (storytelling, outlining process visually, how did you contribute to the strategy that was implemented by client)
* Experience with CPG or enterprise clients and/or 3D innovation design

In this role, the Senior Product Innovation Strategist / Manager will work across the innovation team to develop and deliver CPG design strategies and experiences (packaging, retail, product, merchandising, brand) that achieve business goals. You'll be responsible for solving complex problems by creating concepts, conducting user research and testing, writing strategies and directing the design innovation process using your excellent project management and design thinking skills.

Requirements for the Senior Product Innovation Strategist / Manager include:

- at least 8 years of experience, with 3+ in a design thinking or innovation role; experience in the industrial design space
- experience in brand + design strategy, product development and innovation
- excellent team collaboration skills with the ability to champion design thinking
- elevated, contemporary design aesthetic
- excellent project management skills with the ability to take lead on a project, working across multidisciplinary teams
- excellent communication and presentation skills
