Our client, a consulting firm that does work for companies that are some of the largest employers in the world, is looking to hire a highly analytical, full-time Senior Digital Content Strategist / UX Writer.

This person will work across a variety of backend systems, not just CMS’ and across a multitude of business content, not just communications content. Part architect, part UX person, but focused specifically on digital content.

Experience working with complex and voluminous content and working with architects on content architecture and UX people on complex design is key. This role requires understanding business and content process, as well as a detailed understanding of design.

Strategists with advanced degrees are preferred, such as an English Literature PHD program. A strong sensibility of language is important in this role.

Questions the Senior Digital Content Strategist will ask in the role:
- How should a company with 50,000 employees communicate with them?
- How can you take HR content and making it more consumable?
- How can you, as the subject matter expert, advise the client on the best way to structure and digitally deliver content, such as work process documents or protocols?

This is not your typical content strategy role! It's not marketing, creative or promotional content. It's highly analytical content strategy where the work begins with a content audit and analysis and then leads to advising on how to structure, organize and deliver the internal content from a company/HR team to its many employees.

Our client is hired for complex, multilayer business transformations as it relates to their client's future state; some of their clients are utility companies, transportation companies, and global corporations, perhaps with field workers in hard to reach places, and they need a solution for a combination of technology + people, including employees at all skill levels.

The ideal Digital Content Strategist has Management Consulting experience and is passionate about bringing methodology and structure to chaos – this is an analysis heavy content strategy and isn’t your typical content strategist role.

For example, a project could consist of working on advising a client on how to store and share thousands of employee facing documents in an internal portal (it could be employee communications or the stuff no one reads like legal/regulatory content, for example).

This Senior Digital Content Strategist role might be for you if:
• You have experience writing content for change management or corporate/HR/internal communications
• You are used to organizing content in terms of the structure and architecture of the content and can apply an analytical rigor to the content
• You know great content when you see it and you’re dedicated to delivering content strategies that ensure that level of impact
• You are equally comfortable hashing out content goals with designers and business analysts, presenting digital strategy recommendations to client executives, and conducting content audits
• You care about creating better, smarter content that energizes people and organizations, and you never stop hunting for new ways to achieve that goal

Senior Digital Content Strategist Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in a strategic content position, preferably within Management Consulting
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degrees preferable
• A deep understanding of all aspects of content strategy, from analysis and strategic planning to the ongoing creation, maintenance, and governance of content that serves user needs and helps achieve measurable business objectives
• An intrinsic motivation and deep curiosity, particularly for technology and people
• Natural leadership tendencies with an ability to speak compellingly, become a trusted adviser to executive leadership, senior management, and subject matter experts, and who can work as the expert content strategist on the team
• Experience creating taxonomies and making recommendations for improvements to existing information architecture
• A track record developing content requirements, including structured content and adaptive content recommendations

This is a full-time UX Writer / Senior Digital Content Strategist opportunity, fully remote, with the option of being onsite in NJ if desired.
