Weekend PowerPoint Presentation Designer - WFH during Covid-19

Our client, a global financial company, needs to hire a multiple freelance PowerPoint Presentation Designers to help their team over the weekends (ideally Sundays too but for sure Fridays and Saturdays) for 3 months, 40 hours a week, with a likely long-term extension.

The Presentation Designers can choose to work 4 days a week, 10 hours each day or 5 days a week, 8 hours each day; either way it is a full 40 hour work week and working Fridays and Saturdays is mandatory.

Each workday cannot start before 12 PM (later or even 3rd shift is fine) and the workdays don't have to be consecutive (for example, it could be Fri. Sat. Sun. and Tues.).

A laptop or desktop at home is required but software, through the company’s platform, will be provided once a candidate has been onboarded (but software will not be provided for the design test, see more below).

The ideal Presentation Designer has advanced information design knowledge and can take sketches and thoughts and turn them into presentations with graphics, information visualizations, and animations. There is also graphic design work in Illustrator and Photoshop but the majority is in PowerPoint. All Adobe elements created will be put into the presentation slides or Word doc. before the final deliverable is sent to the (internal) client.

The hiring managers want to see relevant and current presentation and design work, ideally from the financial / banking industry that shows attention to detail (no duplicated slides or wrong titles, slides aligned properly and consistent formatting, etc.).

Presentation Designer Requirements
• At least 4 years of professional experience in presentation design support at a corporate level
• Expertise in using Keynote and PowerPoint to ensure consistency in the look, feel, and voice of internal and external presentations
• Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite — InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop a must
• Financial experience is important (or at least with charts and graphs)
• Mapping experience is a huge plus
• Must be able to work Fridays and Saturdays, ideally 4 10 hour days each week

Presentation Designer Responsibilities
• Create, produce, edit, and annotate graphic designs, multimedia files and documents in accordance with specifications, using a variety of high-end graphics applications
• Receive feedback and apply this to continuous improvements in quality output, develop capabilities for innovation and service excellence
• Work directly with investment bankers in a fast paced and quick turnaround environment
• Work on complex slide enhancements and be able to tell a story with the flat work provided

This a freelance, remote to start but eventually onsite or hybrid onsite/remote, PowerPoint Presentation Designer opportunity, starting in early June. If you cannot work Fridays and Saturdays please do not apply. It is required.

There will be 4-6 weeks of fully remote training, Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 6 PM; then the evening/weekend hours will be required.

Our client will provide a car service when public transportation is not running during off hours (after 10 PM), once the role is based onsite in NY again, which is likely happening in July or August.

There will be a 3 hour test on May 18th and 20th and once the test goes well they'll schedule interviews for 5/25 - 28 but if you're interested and available but have a conflict during the test day or time please still apply; they have flexibility with it!
