UX Product Designer - WFH Flexible

Our client, a global financial services company, is looking to hire a freelance Product Designer for 3-6 months of freelance with the possibility of converting to full-time.

The Product Designer will be remote to start (a MAC will be provided) but onsite eventually in NYC, Austin, Chicago or Palo Alto.

Top 3 Most Important Things to the Hiring Manager
1. Product delivery experience/exposure (did you work on a product that launched?)
2. Design process (show research validation/a clear design process, alongside the visuals - is your process visible in your portfolio?)
3. Design tools (Designers must be strong with Figma - they also still use Invision and Sketch but mostly Figma)

The Product Designer will work on mostly B2B enterprise, internal facing employee tools, perhaps an onboarding workflow for example, mainly desktop products but some mobile and tablet also.

Product Designer Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Interaction Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Service Design, Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related fields
• 2+ years of work experience in the design field (recent grad school graduates without working experience are welcome to apply as long as their portfolio shows applicable samples)
• Ability to communicate abstract design concepts visually in a clear and engaging manner
• Ability to deliver designs, working w/ product and dev. team and also show the decisions you made, as the designer, along the way through the product launch

Product Designer Responsibilities
• Communicate complex information using interaction design tools, including journey maps, storyboards, service blueprints, task flows, wireframes, etc.
• Apply, maintain, and build upon design systems to ensure consistent designs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, researchers, product managers, and subject matter experts
• Understand and document user research findings and iterate designs based on feedback
• Deliver wireframes, screen flows, high-fidelity screens, and visual assets to support the product development process
• Create click-through prototypes, presentations, and videos to showcase product vision and get buy-in from key stakeholders
• Work with the design + research teams in NY & CA daily on everything from low, mid to high fidelity prototypes
