Our client, a global financial leader, is looking to hire an Interaction Designer for at least 12 months but with the chance of extending or converting to full-time.
Qualified Interaction Designers must be able to share a portfolio of their UX design work.
This team utilizes the Double Diamond design process and Sketch, InVision and freehand; they're moving to Figma sometime this year.
Interaction Designer Responsibilities:
• Understand the different phases of the user research and design process
• Design through wireframes, visual, animation, and prototypes at different levels of fidelity
• Understand and apply accessibility to designs
• Familiar with a variety of user research methods and know the strengths and weaknesses of each
• Identify usability issues based on heuristic and statistical analyses
• Under direction, execute processes and produce artifacts in support of the project workstream
• Assist the UX Researchers in research and analysis
Interaction Designer Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience working as a user experience professional
• Experience designing world class digital experiences
• Exceptional skills in digital tools and processes
• Understanding of how designs translate to code
• Ability to use prototyping tools to convey design intent
• Academic and applied knowledge in one or more related areas including: UX Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Service Design, Design Research, Psychology, Anthropology, Prototyping, Strategy
This is a 12 month, 40 hour/week freelance Interaction Designer opportunity that will be remote starting out but eventually onsite in NYC; equipment will be provided.
