Our client, a leading financial company, is looking to add two confident User Researchers to their 6 person researcher team for 3 months initially and then ideally extending or converting to full-time.

The User Researchers will work remotely during covid but will be onsite in Hudson County (easily commutable by public transportation) once the office is open again.

User Researcher Details and Duties:
• Laptop/computer required (eventually they will be able to provide a MAC)
• 90% qualitative vs. 10% quantitative (mostly running individual interviews and synthesizing the data)
• The quant work is mostly surveys
• Financial services experience is nice to have but not required
• At least 3 years of user research experience is required
• The ability to present research well and communicate clearly is a key factor
• They use an agile model: work with the product owners alongside the hiring manager
• The work is not directly consumer oriented but it does impact CX (need to speak well to CX – the "operations" work is streamlining documents/process etc.)
• Research the functionalities of tools that will really work for people (advisors and the end client/customer)
• Work closely with designers and the product team
• Complete heuristic analysis
• Execute and deliver solutions (research findings, design concepts, content) that follow best practices and fulfill design requirements
• Present and showcase work examples to the tribe
• Partner with senior researcher to ensure project results meet business goals, deadlines and quality

During interviews, the hiring manager will be thinking, "Can I imagine this person defending their research in front of a tough audience?" since some of the stakeholders can be challenging.
