Our client, a global financial company, is looking for a UX Product Designer to join their team for 3 months of freelance, then converting to full-time (remote for now but eventually onsite in Jersey City, easily commutable).

The UX Product Designer will work collaboratively with the other members of the in-house digital wealth management design team on customer facing digital investing tools!

They work on complex digital investing flows so it’s really important that candidates have 3-6 years of experience in a UX Design role (delivering wireframes, user flows, Figma or Sketch designs) on web and/or mobile applications.

The UX Product Designer must be a good presenter and able to articulate the reasons behind their design well since they will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes researchers, content writers, product managers, engineers, and business partners / stakeholders.

UX Product Designer Details
• Hands on design role with a lot of collaboration (not working alone plus a ton of stakeholder interaction)
• Design complex enterprise applications
• Truly customer focused, collaborating with the research team
• Utilize and contribute to existing design library (no coding involved) to simplify a flow

UX Product Designer Qualifications
• Portfolio with real world, professional design case studies (at least 3 years of UX design experience on complex applications)
• True Interaction design experience and deep UX projects
• Experience designing a flow (not just marketing landing pages) from any industry: finance, travel, retail or ecomm etc.
• Strong understanding of complex data systems and multistep flow processes
• Must be a good presenter and articulate the reasons behind their design
• Must be able to translate business problems and requirements into compelling UI’s
• Exceptional skills with standard UX software such as Sketch & Invision and/or Figma
• Strong understanding of complex data systems and multistep flow processes
• Understanding of visual perception and cognition in creating interaction rich applications, sites, and mobile experiences
• Proven experience designing for complex, innovative, enterprise experiences
• Ability to explain designs with rationale rooted in user needs and business goals
• Understanding of methods and techniques to ensure the team is solving the right problem
• Enjoys the multidisciplinary and collaborative nature of product design & development
• Bachelor’s Degree required

There is long-term room for growth on the team; after ~3 months the UX Product Designer will move into a full-time Associate Designer (midlevel) role but eventually here's room to grow again in to a VP (senior level) Design role!
